Band
Tuesday - lunch - Grade 9 Band Rehearsal; Woodwind Rehearsal in the Woodshop at lunch
Wednesday - lunch - Jazz Band Rehearsal
Friday - lunch - Grade 7 Band Rehearsal

Thursday - Fall Band Concert - 7:00-8:30 pm, in the Ellenvale Gymnasium
Performances by; Grade 7 Band, Grade 8 Band, Grade 9 Band, Drum Ensemble, Woodwind Ensemble, Brass Ensemble, Jazz Band and the Ellenvale Celtic Band. Silver collection at the door. We will also be having a 50/50 draw and bake sale. Donations for the Bake table should be sent in on Thursday morning - to the gym.
We will also have samples of tea by Steeped Tea available. These are great Christmas gifts and Band students will receive fundraising credits to their individual accounts - order forms will be available at the concert.

Our Christmas Wreath Fundraiser will end this week. Forms and money need to be remitted by Friday, November 18.

Specials congrats to the Grade 9 for a stellar performance at our Remembrance Day Ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 10. Also, a special thank you and congratulations to Emma Hewey for a very moving performance of the Last Post and Reveille. Well done!

All Theory books corrections can be submitted this week for increased term marks. Scale assessments can also be redone this week for better marks. All marks for term one will close this Friday, November 18.

 

Nourish Your Roots
NOURISH YOUR ROOTS Fundraiser. EVERY student will be selling boxes of farm fresh produce containing a variety of vegetables, like carrots, potatoes, turnip, beets, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, cranberries, garlic, herbs, kale, leeks, kohlrabi, onions, parsnip, sweet potatoes, pears, and squash. Each box sells for $30.  Funds are due back to the school by November 25.

Destination Imagination
Any students with destination imagination forms or money are asked to bring them to Mrs. Patterson at the lunch bell. The deadline is Friday for these forms. There will also be a destination imagination meeting tomorrow (Wednesday) at lunch in Mrs. Patterson's room 114. This meeting will be over by 12:10.

Book Club
Book club will be postponed this week. Members will meet next Tuesday.

Ellenvale's Got Talent
Ellenvale's talent show is now looking for performers! The first show will take place on December 21st so everyone has a good last day of school. Feel free to bring in the Christmas songs! Application forms need to be picked up in Ms. Mignault's room and brought back by Friday November 18th. A rehearsal schedule will be put together to ensure that everyone is ready to go for the big day. Can't wait to see all of the talent we have here at Ellenvale!

WeActors
There will be an important meeting of the WeActors in Ms. Shortt's room 205 at 12:10 today.  It is very important that you attend this meeting if you plan on attending WeDay this year. If you cannot attend, please see Mr. Klasz or Ms. Shortt in advanced of the meeting.

The WeActor's will be hosting their second bake sale of the year on Thursday at lunch at the front of the school! All items will be priced between $0.25 and $1.00. As always, all money raised will go to support the school goal of building a school in Haiti. Bring your change and your sweet tooth to help support this great cause! WeActors are reminded to please drop their baked goods off to Mr. Klasz Thursday morning in Room 115.

Badminton Club
I would like to introduce Ellenvale’s Badminton club.  This club is open to ALL Ellenvale students and staff interested in playing. This club will meet once or twice a week to play badminton in the gym from 3:00 – 4:30. If you are interested in joining such a club please sign the list. If there is a lot of interest, space will need to be limited each week. The date for the first meeting of this club will be announced very soon. If you have any questions, please speak to Mr. Leveck.

 

Boys Volleyball
There is a boys volleyball game @ Ellenvale vs Caledonia this Thursday at 3:30. If you cannot make it, please talk to Mr. d'Entremont or Mrs. Conde.

Hockey
Hockey game today, 4pm at Bowles vs. Gaetz Brook.
