Event Overview

The Nova Scotia Youth Climate Summit will bring together 50+ youth (ages 14-24) from across the province for two days of learning and discussion about climate change challenges and opportunities in our communities. 

This is a free event. All meals and overnight hotel accommodation will be provided. Participants will also receive a welcome package with climate-related resources and sustainable gifts to take home.

The summit will include interactive activities, guest presentations, panel discussions and networking with other young climate leaders. 

Learning and discussion topics at the summit will include: 

• Climate change impacts and climate policy in Nova Scotia.
• Youth perspectives on Nova Scotia’s climate action plan. 
• Examples of positive climate action stories from across the province. 
• How to take climate action in your own life or community.
• How to communicate about climate change and share your knowledge with others.
• Employment opportunities in the green economy. 
• Strategies for coping with climate anxiety and eco-emotions
